Causes of Piles in Females

A majority of women in our society experience piles-like problems. We also know Piles as “Hemorrhoids”. Hemorrhoids or piles are swollen veins present in the lower part of the anus and rectum. Piles may cause bleeding, or in many ladies, it has no bleeding. Bleeding is not an indicator of the presence or absence of piles. Many patients may have piles but do not have bleeding.

Most of the causes of piles are the same in males and females. In females, there are a few added causes. Let us learn about it.

Major Causes of Piles in Females

  • Pregnancy
  • Fast food and spicy food
  • Constipation
  • Lifting heavy weights
  • Anemia
  • Overuse of allopathic medicines
  • Lack of exercise
  • Stress
  • Overstraining during defecation
  • Hormonal imbalance.
