Piles Injection

Piles injection treatment is a popular measure for piles management. Piles are enlarged veins in the anal region. It may cause bleeding if injured because of hard stools. Injection treatment, technically known as sclerotherapy, is the process of injecting chemical agents in the piles itself that may help in reducing the size of piles and stopping bleeding. As per size, the piles may be of four grades – Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, and Grade 4. 1st-grade piles are the smallest, and 4th-grade piles are the largest. Injection treatment is useful only in 1st and 2nd-grade of piles or hemorrhoids.

Injection treatment is of no use in the treatment of fissures, fistula, pilonidal sinus, and advanced stages of piles. In these cases, the best treatment modality is kshar sutra.
